This family Bible record consists of two pages that have been torn out of a bible and three loose
sheets. A note indicates the Bible was published at Cooperstown, NY, in 1829. It is now (1975)
in the possession of Donald A. Keefer of RD 3, West Glenville Road, Amsterdam, NY. Cornelius
and Mary (Cornell) Groot were the great-great-grandparents of Mr Keefer.
 Richard Cornell, b. 11 Oct 1770, d. 18 Apr 1841. He m. Phebe Sherman b. 20 Dec 1779, d. 21 Mar 1857. Their children were:

Cornelius Groot, b. 26 Mar 1809, married 23 Sep 1830 (by Rev Elbert Slingerland), Glenville, NY, Mary Cornell, b. 12 May 1810, d. 5 May 1890, age 79 years, 11 months, 23 days. Their children:
