The information on Thomas Root was compiled from documentation as indicated, as well as many bits and pieces. This information was provided many years ago and has since been misplaced. However some of the information remained on the Database, which we will use.

The marriage to Francis Rusell is new to me and was found after adding a number of GEDCOMs to my database and after merging many names. I have no documentation on her marriage.

There is also speculation that Thomas took as his third wife Ann (Forester) Russell, the mother of his daughter-in-law Mary or Ann Russell.

Over the years we have seen the wife of John Root listed as Ann Russell and as Mary Russell. Which is correct, we do not know. This is quite confusing and you will see it listed both ways on these pages. To eliminate our problem on the database we have listed her as "Mary Ann".

Documentation for the information provided on these pages is very sparce. For this reason, you should make use of it with caution. We do not claim it as 100% fact, but only speculation. We will where ever possible, list any documentation we have now and if more is received it will be added. We will also add new descending lines if they are received.
