Land Patents of Edward Wright Sr

From "The Wright Ancestry of Caroline, Dorchester, Somerset and Wicomico Counties, Maryland" by Capt. Charles W. Wright, pp 78-80:


Old Liber 9 f 149, 16 Jun 1733-Feb 25 1733. Commission to James Brown, James Cannon, William Clarkson, and Abraham Covington (grandson of Nehemiah) to perpetuate bounds of Solomon Turpin's (father in law of Joshua who was great-grandson of Edward Sr)land on the Northeast Fork of the Nanticoke River called Folly and Return. Included deposition of Edward Wright of Somerset Co., surveyor aged about 95 years.

Most of Edward's grants were named for towns or areas in the Essex area of England.
