A search of the Ohio and Michigan census records has been made but not found.
I have received information that indicates he was in Iowa, but a search of
those areas have also turned up no information.

State of Wisconsin Juneau County
On this 27th day of July, AD1869, before the undersigned authority within and for
said county and state personally appeared Mrs. Sophia Sadoris, a resident of the
town of Lindina, Juneau County, Wisconsin. Whom I certify to be respectable
and entitled to credit and who, being, by me, duly sworn according to law says that
she resides at above stated, is 52 years of age, was well acquainted with Nehemiah
Morse, deceased and with his widow and minor children and her oath says that Eva
Morse, minor child of said Nehemiah and Mary S. Morse was born at the town of Summit,
in the county of Juneau and state of Wisconsin on the 9th day of March AD 1861 and
that her knowledge is derived from the fact that she is the Grandmother of said child,
was present at it's birth and knows that the age is correctly stated. She further on
oath says that she has no interest in this claim. - - - signed by Sophia Sadoris
Elizabeth Dobbs and Eliza Dobbs being by me first duly sworn in their oaths say
that they have been acquainted with Mary S. Morse and her husband Nehemiah Morse up
to the time of his death in the US Service. We know that the said Mary S. Morse has
by her deceased husband, now living, three children named and aged as follows, to wit;
Frank Morse who was born on the 4th day of June, 1887, John D. Morse, who was born on
the 2nd day of Dec., 1888. Both were born in Winnebago County, Illinois. We were
present at the time of birth of each. We were not present at the time Eva May Morse
was born. The above are the only legitimate children of the said Mary Morse and her
deceased husband now living. We know that she has not remarried since the death of
her husband nor has she abandoned the support of any of the children above named nor
permitted anyone for which increase is claimed to be adopted by any other person or
