For Holland Joseph Wright and related families ©Compiled By: Don Wright Submitted by: Judy McMichael - 1 Jan 2006 Decatur Review Wednesday 5/23/1962 [Holland] Joseph Wright, 73 of 405 E Olive St, a machinist with the Wabash Railroad for 34 years, died at 4:15 a.m. today in Wabash Employes Hospital where he had been a patient since Sunday. He was born May 13, 1889, in Topeka, Kan, a son of Joseph and Mary E. Hankinson [Wilkinson] Wright and moved here 36 years ago from Billings, Mont. Mr. Wright was with the railroad until he retired in 1958. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Billings Lodge 113, AF&AM the Topeka Consistory, Wabash Ashlar Club, Wabash Fellowship Club, the Oren L. Davis Post 99, Veteran of Foreign Wars and Castle Williams Post 105, American Legion. Mr. Wright was in the Army in World War I and was a member of Ickes Barracks No. 341, Veterans of World War I. He married Pearl Troxell, April 6, 1920 in Billings, Mont. Mr. Wright leaves his wife, a son James J. Wright, Cleveland, Ohio, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home where friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
