I hope that you don't mind if I impose on you to see if I can learn anyuthing about my grandmother, Rebecca Elizabeth HARVEY. The best info that I have suggests that she was born near Rome, GA 16 Dec 1852 [but I saw in one census= LA?] She married a man named Robinson, had three children [don't know what happened to that marriage], next she married my grandfather Harvey Morrison in 1879 while he lived near Bowie or Montague, TX [his second wife]. Elizabeth died about a month after giving birth to my father, Orion Morrison, in March 1886--after bearing four children with Harvey.

One of my cousins received the following letter from Hazel Dorman, --------- Tx in 1982, It has been the total source of information known to me. My Dad seldom spoke of his family to me but he did say his mother was buried in Era, TX cemetery?? I have a short "road diary" --he used to keeps notes on some auto trips--in which he recorded that his grandmother Harvey remarried and moved to Sunset ? where she was also buried?? [I didn't refresh my memory on that last statement]

Does any of that sound familiar to you? The letter from Mrs Dorman said:

"I am so excited over finding additional Harvey families and their kin. I will be happy to share ALL info that I have, in fact, as soon as I can type up additional info, copies will be made for others in the family."

Both are buried at the Pella Cermetery -(they had given 2 acres of land for a cemetery). They married ca 1840 - she was 14 years old.

(Webster Parish, Minden, La. Marriage Book 1, Page 58 - 28 Feb 1881
R. L. Hasty and Miss Lucy Ann Kenner - I think this is THE SAME MAN ).

#3 Talitha Harvey - Died when 17 years of age.

Buried. Vashti, Clay Co. TX
m. Sarah Smyantha "Sallie" Raney (Minden, la) B. 26 April 1853, d. 25 Dec 1947
Bur. Pella Cemetery- Beside R. W. Wilson- her 2nd husband.

#5 Melissa Lucinda Harvey, b. 3 May 1850 Rome, Ga; d. 22 Nov 1903 Sunset, Texas
m. Noel Marion Hasty (Sept 1866, Claiborne Par. , LA), b. 18 March 1834 Rome, Ga
d. 3 Feb 1905 Sunset, Montague Co., Texas - Both buried at the Sunset Cemetery.

#6 Rebecca E. Harvey. m. Robinson (Marriage Book 2 P. 182)
(Claiborne Parish, La.-date of 2 Nov 1868 there is listed:
D.T. Robinson and Elizabeth E. Harvey - is this Rebecca??)

Their Children:
Sallie E. Robinson, married Martin C. Stone
Ella Robinson married W. T. Trotter
Harvey W. Robinson"
