[Where she lists the children of Samuel Morse and Elizabeth Jasper]
Elizabeth, bapt. Mar 6, 1605/6 (d. 1643) bap at Redgrave, Suffolk (Eng). "Probably married (Robert) Daniel and died leaving a daughter Elizabeth Daniel born about 1633 who was probably the Elizabeth Daniel who was takin to New England in 1635 by Samuel Morse and his wife." (Note [hers]: Neither Morse genealogy mentions this child as accompanying the Morses. Was it so indicated on the rolls or did Moriarty (the genealogist of the English Origins of the Morse family articles) see her name on the passenger list and assume she was wtih them?) [BP Note: Banks - Planters of the Commonwealth lists Elizabeth Daniel as being with the Morses.] An article printed Oct 1934 in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register confirms that Elizabeth Daniels was the granddaughter of Samuel Morse and Elizabeth Jasper but disproves that her mother had died. She, the mother, emigrated to New England before 1636/7 when her husband was a proprietor at Watertown. Later they moved to Cambridge where she died in 1643. This couple had 6 children of whom Elizabeth was the second. Two sons, Samuel and Joseph Daniels lived at Medfield where the Morses had moved after Dedham. A daughter Mary also lived in Medfield. She and her husband were killed by the Indians in 1704 "on the way to Canada". Little Elizabeth married and had 4 daughters, dying at the age of 92 in 1722/3. [FP Note: Our records indicate three daughters and a son.]
