Nelson Johnson Family Bible Record
In the Indiana Magazine of History 35:357-358 is a Bible record of the Nelson Johnson family.
The second footnote states, "Nelson Johnson was the son of Ransom and Barbara (Wright)
Johnson. Ransom was the son of Josiah Tillson and Sally (Wright) Johnson. Josiah was the son
of Jordan and Levina (Wright) Johnson. The family, of Scotch-Irish descent, were pioneers of
Washington County [Ind.]. The founder of the line, Jordan Johnson of Virginia, had sons Josiah,
Jesse, Jacob and Jordan. Jacob, who moved to Tennessee, was the father of Andrew Johnson,
President of the United States. Jesse moved to Mississippi; Jordan died in Virginia. Josiah is the
father of Nelson whose record appears here."
I am especially interested in all those Wright connections. There are errors in the above, most
of which I've managed to correct. Will exchange with anyone connected.
